#71 Le Mans week started with good free practices, the car was quite good with a not bad pace. On the qualifying day it’s been harder, comparing with the other cars we were too slow on the straight, so we decided to change the aerodynamics, losing the pace on the curves.
Unfortunately the yellow flags were not in our favor so at the end we started on P10. Sam was the first one and he did pretty good, staying in the main group. From the 5th hour evrything changed after the penalty we got for a red light during the Safety car on track. The stop & go was for 3 minutes, so our race was gone.
After the penalty car #71 found itself with a damaged front splitter due to debris from another car and lost a few laps for repairs. At the end we finished 10th, we could do better than that, but we knew it wasn’t our race today. Unfortunately our week at Le Mans finished not like we were thinking.
