DOUBLE ENGAGEMENT FOR DAVIDE AT SEBRING WITH THE FERRARI 296 GT3 AND THE 488 GT3 EVO

Davide Rigon has already arrived in Florida where in the long weekend of March 15-18 he will be called to a real tour-de-force.

On the Sebring track, the official Ferrari driver will take turns at the wheel of the brand new Risi Competizioni Ferrari 296 GT3, on the occasion of the 12 Hours of Sebring valid for the second round of the IMSA Endurance Cup, and the AF Corse Ferrari 488 GT3 Evo for the first round of the Fia World Endurance Championship, the World Endurance Championship.

After the opening race at Daytona the IMSA championship moves to Sebring international raceway for one of the most demanding races of the season. The Brazilian Casagrande joins Davide and Serra in the American team’s car. The whole team, together with Ferrari, have worked to prepare for this trip as best as possible, as have we, the drivers. The 12-hour race is one of the most demanding races of the season due to the many bumps on the track” comments Davide. The race will start at 10:10 on Saturday 18 March.

The 1000 miles of Sebring (8 Hours) is scheduled for Friday 17th, the first round of the FIA WEC with start at 12:00 local time where Davide will be at the start with the Ferrari 488 GT3 Evo (Pro AM class) number 54 together with Castellacci and Flohr. “I know both the car and the championship very well and it will be important to start off on the right foot and finish the race. We don’t have the best BoP, but we are all determined to give our best. It will be a very busy weekend with very little time to prepare the cars given the double commitment and the busy schedule. The long weekend will already begin on Wednesday 15th with the first free practice sessions of the WEC and end on Saturday evening 18th March with the IMSA 12 Hours.”

The eagerly awaited season of the FIA WEC, the eleventh, has already kicked off this weekend (11-12 March) with the pre-season tests (The Prologue) right at the Sebring International Raceway.

Before leaving for Florida, Davide took part in two days of testing, on the Barcelona track with the Ferrari 488 GT3 together with his teammates Castellacci-Flohr to set up the last details and at Paul Richard with the Ferrari 296 GT3 to the GT World Challenge championship which will start in Monza on April 23rd.
