The third act of the GT World Challenge Europe – Endurance Cup ended with Davide Rigon in the Ferrari of the AF Corse – Francorchamps Motors team in eighth place, the result of a comeback of a good 40 positions
Qualifying. In the round held in the morning, in dry track conditions, the #51 Ferrari, due to a contact coming out of the pits in the final phase of the round, could not complete Q3 and therefore qualified in 48th position (20th in class).
Davide Rigon, 296 GT3 #51 AF Corse – Francorchamps Motors: “Ours was a perfect race. At the start Alessio gained dozens of positions thus allowing me to board in the middle-high part of the standings and, at that point, Ale (Pier Guidi, Ed.) did his best to complete the task. We know that in this championship, given the number of teams entered, if you do not start in the top positions it is impossible to win over the course of a race that is only three hours long. I repeat, however, that we must be satisfied, including with the performance of the 296 GT3, which was strong in every sector here in the dry.”
