New podium finish this season for Davide. In the opening race of the European Le Mans Series Championship at the Barcelona track, Davide took second place at the end of the 4-hour race at the wheel of the Ferrari 296 GTE #86 of the GR Racing team
Davide “I am very happy with this result. It went very well and a very positive second place. I took the car from Pera in fourth position and quickly got back on the Lamborghini, passing it. My pace was really good-the best on the mid-race of all the GTs-and I was able to make up a beauty of 18″ in just 25 laps on the leaders. I have to congratulate the team, which is in its first season with Ferrari. To have achieved this result together at the first opportunity certainly bodes well for the continuation of the season.”
