The final season is unforgettable for Davide Rigon. With his team mate James Calado, at the end of the 6 Hours of Sao Paulo, they won the Contructors title for Ferrari, after the other 2 titles they already won at Sahkir, thanks to Bruni and Vilander.
The Interlagos track was a challenge, the 27 years old driver and all the Amato Ferrari team were there in Brazil to win the GT Contructors title. The title arrived after an incredible race, with the Safety car on the track and a terrible crash with the Porsche 919 Hybrid LMP1 driving by Webber and the Ferrari #90. Davide finished is first season as the official Ferrari driver with a good consecutive 4th podium. Thanks to him and James, his Ferrari won the 3th place. “It was an incredible week end. We were there thinking to win the GT Constructors title for Ferrari and we did it. In the same time I had my last podium of the season after a hard race. I like Interlagos circuit, it’s an old style track, with a nice mix. We were sure about our work on the car. It’s the perfect end of an exciting season. I have to do my congratulations to my mechanics and engineers of AF Corse team and to Ferrari. It’s great celebrating this important victory in this sensational place. It’s unique.” said Rigon.
Next saturday (December 6th) Davide will be a part of the big Ferrari event in Yas Marina, Abu Dhabi: “Ferrari World Final”.
